My name is Sam Atakra, I'm 35 years old and currently live in Santa Fe, New mexico after 20 long years in California... I've been involved in media, and art all my life and have worked as a master control operator, Director, Cameraman, and Technical Director for CBS and as an art and music critic for countless publications. For five long years I was a high-profile data monkey for a major search-engine in the tech boom that used to be San Francisco. That ended and after about a year of struggling to almost pay my rent I decided that the rat race wasn't working for me and headed off into the scarlet skies of the Southwest so I could spread the disease of information to those who had an open eye and ear for that sort of thing..
Currently I work as an archivist and semi Curator for a major artist organization. It's interesting work. Maybe that whole "nice work if you can get it" Fred Astaire lyric sums it up best for me at the moment.
I spend my spare time going to punk/industrial/goth/preformance-art type shows looking for new people who like the same type of subversive lifestyle that I enjoy. I usually have either very short green, blue hair, or no hair at all, but right now I have short natural hair. I dress in casual black clothes. I could pass for your younger pervert uncle in a police lineup. I am perpetually fascinated by pop culture that isn't dripping with self-obsessed irony. My current obsession is with selling my extensive collection of over 50,000 high-grade comics on eBay.
